Bhitshah Culture Center

Bhitshah Culture Center is famous at national level for being hub of the cultural activities, in the realm of sufism. Its foundation stone was laid down by Mr. Abdul Sattar Pirzada, Chief Minister Sindh in 1954 on 16th Safar 1374 A. D. while inauguration was carried out by Mr. Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, the then Minister of Industries and Natural Resources, Government of Pakistan on 18th July 1962.

Bhitshah Culture Centre consists on the following buildings ds:

  • An Open Air Auditorium for Cultural Programmes
  • A Museum which represents Soormis of Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai
  • Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai Research Cell
  • Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai Library
  • A Rest House
  • An Excellence Centre
  • Shah Jo Bagh (Garden)

Activities / Events arranged by the office during the calender year 2010-11

  • Anniversary of Shaikh Ayaz 28 December 2010.
  • 276th Annual Uris of Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai from 19th January to 21st January 2011.
  • Birthday of Shaikh Ayaz 4. World Book Day
