Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah serves as the Minister of Culture, Tourism, Antiquities, and Archives for the Government of Sindh. His role encompasses the promotion and preservation of Sindh’s rich cultural heritage, managing archaeological sites, supporting tourism, and enhancing cultural awareness. Under his leadership, the department has focused on celebrating Sindh’s 5,000-year-old history, which emphasizes values of love, peace, and brotherhood. He has been active in welcoming international delegations, such as a Spanish archaeological team, to showcase the province’s historical sites, including Mohenjo-Daro and Makli.

Additionally, Shah advocates for projects to improve access to key sites, like the proposed reopening of the Mohenjo-Daro Airport to facilitate tourism. His initiatives align with Sindh’s long-standing commitment to cultural preservation, promoting both local and international collaboration to enhance understanding of Sindh’s historical contributions. Through these efforts, Shah aims to position Sindh as a destination that bridges cultural ties globally, all while fostering development in tourism and cultural conservation within Pakistan.
